LUXURY REAL ESTATE

NAPA & SONOMA, CALIFORNIA

INSIGHT

Drawn to the singular beauty and rhythm of life in northern California, Arthur Goodrich has called San Francisco home since 1989 and the Napa Valley since 2011, cultivating a profound sense of place and an insider's command of both markets.

Passion. Insight. A genuine interest in personal aspirations. These qualities set Arthur Goodrich apart. Further, Arthur is endowed with an extraordinary eye, the ability to see the fine points of a property, to notice the details that contribute to a perception of value. Equally, he knows how to present that value to a capricious market. Sophisticated and yet unassuming, Arthur wholly fulfills his role as an informed and astute advisor, guiding his clients through myriad scenarios to the best possible real estate decision.

Beyond his evident real estate success, the Arthur Goodrich story is about connection and a whole-hearted commitment to his clients' interests. From the first conversation, Arthur and his team dig deep to achieve clarity about needs, priorities, and goals.

“Insight begins by being present, by listening, and talking through possibilities and potential challenges. We have to be clear about the client's aspirations; we have to honor the dream. Happily, I've had the privilege of working with clients who became good friends, outside of buying or selling a property. Whether or not a transaction follows, such enduring relationships are truly rewarding in every sense.”

STRATEGIC

Whether your property is a luxury residence, an estate winery or vineyard, Arthur Goodrich possesses a wealth of knowledge to guide you smoothly through the entirety of the selling process.

Tirelessly ambitious on behalf of his clients, Arthur positions and sells noteworthy properties, executing a strategic approach that fits both the market and the unique offering.

For those who are looking to buy a primary residence, a second home or parcel of land, Arthur and his team focus on intentional and creative solutions, a place aligned with the client's personal real estate vision. Clients can expect clear, consistent communication and informed guidance at every touchpoint.

Leveraging the business acumen developed over decades in corporate and entrepreneurial roles, Arthur has applied an analytical skill set and practiced problem-solving to rise into the top 100 of Sotheby's International Realty agents within his first three years—a trajectory few in the industry match—and has been recognized by RealTrends as a Top 1.5% agent nationally 2023 through 2026.

Equally, Arthur's longstanding business connections and numerous personal referrals contribute to his impressive success, pursued with the goal of “having a positive impact on my clientele and the vital communities of the San Francisco Bay Area.”

Arthur Goodrich

One advisor, two markets, and a depth of knowledge in each that only comes from having truly lived them.

Arthur Goodrich occupies a rare position in Northern California's luxury real estate landscape: equally fluent in the culture, neighborhoods, and nuances of both San Francisco and Wine Country, and equally at home in both. As founder of The Goodrich Group at Sotheby's International Realty, he serves a clientele that often moves fluidly between these two worlds: the Pacific Heights residence and the Napa Valley retreat, the city career and the vineyard estate, the life being lived and the one being envisioned. For those clients, having a single trusted advisor who knows both markets with genuine depth is not a convenience—it is a distinct advantage.

That dual fluency is rooted in lived experience. Drawn to the singular beauty and rhythm of life in Northern California, Arthur Goodrich has called San Francisco home since 1989 and the Napa Valley since 2011, building deep professional and personal relationships across both markets. Today, with an active and expanding presence in each, he bridges Northern California's two most coveted luxury destinations with an intimacy that few advisors can genuinely claim.

Before entering real estate, Arthur spent three decades in corporate leadership—most notably in medical technology and healthcare services, where he led national sales organizations, directed complex strategic initiatives, and played a central role in one of the sector's most significant exits: a landmark sale to Stryker Corporation in 2009. That discipline of rigorous preparation, precise positioning, and high-stakes negotiation now informs every transaction he guides, whether in the city or the valley.

Since launching his real estate career in 2020, Arthur has become one of Napa Valley's most trusted advisors—achieving over $30 million in sales in his first year and surpassing $150 million within four years, a trajectory recognized by his brokerage as a Top 100 Agent at Sotheby's International Realty and RealTrends as among the best in the country for three consecutive years. His approach is consistent regardless of market: prepare meticulously, position strategically, and negotiate with both insight and discretion.

Arthur's Wine Country roots run deeper still. After purchasing his first Napa property while living in San Francisco, he founded Mayastoga Property Group, a highly regarded luxury vacation rental and concierge service representing over 25 exceptional homes throughout the Valley. That endeavor cultivated an intimate knowledge of the region's properties, people, and possibilities, along with lasting relationships with vintners, designers, and property owners that now serve his real estate clients in ways that extend well beyond the transaction.

For clients navigating the natural intersection of city and Wine Country life—whether selling a San Francisco home to anchor a Napa estate, or seeking a city residence to complement a primary home in the valley—Arthur offers something genuinely rare: one advisor, two markets, and the understanding that these decisions are rarely just about property. They are about how and where one chooses to live.

Originally from Texas (born in Midland, raised in Houston), Arthur holds a B.S. in Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University and a Certificate in Real Estate Finance from Harvard Extension. He maintains residences in San Francisco and Calistoga.

SONOMA

ABOUT SONOMA

The Goodrich Group embraces Sonoma's distinctive essence, where authenticity and understated luxury create a refreshing counterpoint to its more polished neighbor. Our approach here reflects the region's character: thoughtful, genuine, and attuned to the rhythms of the land. We recognize that Sonoma properties speak to those seeking a more intimate wine country experience, where historic farmhouses, secluded countryside retreats, and working vineyards offer a deeper connection to California's agricultural heritage. Our extraordinary ability to uncover hidden value, paired with our genuine appreciation for Sonoma's relaxed sophistication, allows us to guide clients toward properties that resonate with their desire for both character and refined living.

AMENITIES

Sonoma County delights with a tapestry of experiences that celebrate artisanal craftsmanship and natural beauty. Unlike its more formal counterpart, Sonoma's charm lies in its unpretentious elegance, boutique wineries where winemakers themselves pour limited-production vintages, farm stands overflowing with seasonal bounty, and hidden culinary gems where chefs transform local ingredients into memorable meals. The region's diverse landscapes invite exploration, from redwood forests and coastal headlands to rolling vineyards bathed in golden light. Here, luxury emerges organically from authenticity, creating experiences that feel both exclusive and remarkably grounded in a sense of place and community.

THE COMMUNITY

Sonoma's vibrant community embodies a creative spirit and genuine warmth that sets it apart in Wine Country. This welcoming enclave draws those who appreciate the beauty of simplicity and the richness of tradition, farmers, artists, winemakers, and entrepreneurs who value quality craftsmanship and sustainable living. The region's commitment to preserving its agricultural heritage while embracing innovation creates a distinctive energy that permeates its seasonal festivals, farmers markets, and cultural gatherings. In Sonoma, neighbors still know one another, multi-generational businesses thrive alongside innovative startups, and community means supporting local producers and protecting the extraordinary landscape that defines this special corner of California wine country.
